Research centers
The scientific research activity of the Faculty of Furniture Design and Wood Engineering is held in two research centres within the Research and Development Institute of Transilvania University of Brașov (ICDT):
- The C11 research centre – Furniture Eco-design, Restoration and Certification in Wood Industry – coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Alina OLARESCU
- The C14 research centre – Innovative Technologies and Advanced Wood Products – coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Luminita-Maria BRENCI
The research areas of the two centres fall into the Sustainable Development, Innovative Materials, Products and Processes for Wood Industry and are in accordance with the European research priorities Energy (2), Environment (3), and Innovative Materials, Processes and Products (7).
