The ICWSE International Conference on "WOOD SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING IN THE THIRD MILLENNIUM" is a forum dedicated to specialists in the field of wood science and engineering, organized by the Faculty of Furniture Design and Wood Engineering biennially. The conference aims to exchange and disseminate scientific information in academia, as well as to identify solutions for problems with economic and industrial applicability in the field, following a wide spectrum of topics such as wood structure and properties; drying and thermal treatments; the quality of wood processing; wood-based composites; wood conservation, restoration, modification, and finishing; furniture design, wooden constructions; wood as an energy source, economic aspects in wood engineering.
